Alabama Forensic Council

The AFC is an open, university-wide co-curricular program in competitive speaking events. The team consistently places in the top 10 at the American Forensic Association-National Individual Events Tournament, the most prestigious national forensics tournament in the country.

The Speaking Studio

Created to assist individuals in clarifying and crafting messages, in cultivating a dynamic delivery, and in calming public speaking anxiety, this service is a community-wide resource, available for use both on and off campus. Get professional feedback for improving your presentations.  

UA Core Courses

Communication Studies offers both Humanities (HU) and Social and Behavioral Science (SB) courses for students campus-wide looking to meet UA Core Curriculum requirements. These courses offer knowledge and skills essential to becoming a leader in today’s complex world.
